HEATZ/PiP
HEATZ – Learning Under Heat
HEATZ stands for High Intensity Team Sintering: teams learn when the pressure is on – under stress, uncertainty, and risk. In this “heat,” true collaboration comes to light. Participants face situations where they must react quickly, make decisions, and share responsibility. It’s not about theoretical models but about lived experience: immediate, practical, and tangible. Those who go through HEATZ grow beyond themselves – both as individuals and as part of a team.
PiP – Primi inter Pares
At the heart of HEATZ is the PiP team concept: Primi inter Pares – First among Equals. Everyone is equal; most are Pares, and some step up together as Primi within the team. A Primus is not a boss but takes the lead because the team recognizes it – for a task, for a moment, always temporarily. Several Primi can act at the same time, as long as they strengthen the team. Real strength does not come from hierarchy or grand visions, but from mutual loyalty, recognition, and collaboration. This is exactly what participants experience in HEATZ courses – and what they bring back to their organizations, their communities, and their daily lives.
HEATZ Team Explorer
This course is a hands-on experience: teams are challenged in exercises under pressure, uncertainty, and risk. Participants feel how roles shift – sometimes as Pares, sometimes as Primi – and reflect on their behavior directly through observation and feedback. Theory stays in the background, action takes the lead.
Duration: 2 x 3 days
Prerequisites: none
HEATZ Team Developer
This course focuses on the practical development of PiP teams within participants’ own organizations. They work with real-life examples, design development plans, and test concrete methods to strengthen cohesion and resilience. The course is both workshop and laboratory – with direct transfer into daily work.
Duration: 1 x 3 days
Prerequisites: HEATZ Team Explorer
HEATZ Team Facilitator
This course prepares participants for the practical role of guiding HEATZ teams. They practice leading scenarios, managing heat, and moderating debriefs. Through co-facilitation and main facilitation in real course settings, they gain first-hand experience – learning by doing.
Duration: 1 x 3 and 2 x 3 days as acting Facilitator in a HEATZ Team Explorer course
Prerequisites: HEATZ Team Developer
